“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Cor.4:18
The souls of people going to heaven are our concern and not the soles of our feet standing on beaches. Being delivered by Jesus from the bondage of Satan has forever changed my view of the world from that of serving self to being a bondservant of Christ. I am saying this so you will understand my perspective as I write about this experience.
After several days of rain during semana santa, the sun came out. It coincided with a day of free time so I decided it would be okay to take a day trip boat ride through one of the local services to the Cayos Cochinos to see a truly unique landmark. A fifteen minute drive to where we launch from the beach gets us on our way. Thirteen small islands are grouped together and surrounded by reefs. If the color turquoise is NOT apealing to you, then you won’t like this place. Enjoy the short video.
The people that live on the island are a small community that live a very dismal life, in my opinion. Tourism on a low budget scale is their main source of income. I didn’t see evidence of Jesus in the lives of the islanders at any point during this trip. A minister to these folks will face a long road with a lot of spiritual warfare.
