{"id":3958,"date":"2025-11-04T18:25:15","date_gmt":"2025-11-04T18:25:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reachhonduras.com\/?p=3958"},"modified":"2025-11-04T18:26:58","modified_gmt":"2025-11-04T18:26:58","slug":"life-of-a-missionary-something-new-everyday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reachhonduras.com\/?p=3958","title":{"rendered":"Life of a Missionary \u2013 Something new everyday"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"3958\" class=\"elementor elementor-3958\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-675a1e15 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"675a1e15\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3bf90fb elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"3bf90fb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h1 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Life of a Missionary<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1dd8899c elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"1dd8899c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Something new everyday.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-cf95a7c e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"cf95a7c\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1c5ca742 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1c5ca742\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Living in Honduras is an adventure.\u00a0 We do not set out for it to be, but it just happens.\u00a0 On Sunday, November 26, we had a swarm of bees show up early before Sunday School.\u00a0 The bees were busy trying to serve their queen while I was busy serving Jesus, the King of Kings.\u00a0 These bees were located close to where we minister to the children, but I felt it was okay to go ahead and have Sunday School.\u00a0 The children were not in danger at all, but they sure were nervous walking past the colony.\u00a0 After we had a great Sunday School and the kids left, I sent out a call for help to see if any of my Honduran friends knew who could remove bees without killing them.\u00a0 Every option I was given turned out to be a dead end.\u00a0 On the third day, we just prayed to God in a strong prayer that He would remove the bees and that we would not have to kill them.\u00a0 We left our home for a night and when we came back the next day the bees were gone.\u00a0 Friends that is just how God works and answers prayer.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also on this same Sunday Honduras had its presidential elections.\u00a0 Honduras has a lot of distrust of its government and this really came out when the opposition party saw its candidate\u2019s lead go away and the incumbent finish with a lead of less than two percent.\u00a0 Claims of a stolen election caused riots to breakout going into the weekend and the country is now in a big mess.\u00a0 I have been talking with other missionaries in other cities to stay on top of the problem.\u00a0 Chaos like this is what you would here about in the news of some other country, but we\u2019re right in the middle of it.\u00a0 Right now there is a nightly curfew.\u00a0 There is not any gasoline and food is running out.\u00a0 Everyone is affected because the supply lines are shut down.\u00a0 In the midst of this, we are continuing to minister the Word of God to the people.\u00a0 God is working in it.\u00a0 We are going to treat this just like the colony of bees and pray that God will resolve and remove this crisis.\u00a0 (Above is a picture of a roped off gas station and some soldiers keeping the peace by a bridge that was once blocked by protestors and fiery baracades. )\u00a0 Would you join us in prayer and send us an email at &lt;info@reachhonduras.com&gt; to let us know you\u2019re praying for us?\u00a0 Blessings in Christ.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Life of a Missionary Something new everyday.
