\u00a0It is the start of a new year.\u00a0 There have been a lot of fireworks popping, but you don\u2019t see fireworks stands like you do in the US.\u00a0 I wonder where they buy them?\u00a0 Still, it amazes me that people who seem to have so little can come up with the money to buy fireworks.\u00a0 I see it as an attempt for people to have a release.\u00a0 If they could only meet Jesus Christ to get the only true relief that touches the soul and spirit.\u00a0 Only Jesus can give true rest for the weary.\u00a0 \u201cCome unto me, all <\/span>ye<\/span><\/i> that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke <\/span>is<\/span><\/i> easy, and my burden is light.\u201d (Matt.11:28-30).<\/span><\/p>

We are adjusting to life in Honduras pretty well.\u00a0 I count it a blessing to get to eat some of the local specialties such as the tamale pictured here.\u00a0 This little treat is steamed in a banana leaf and has masa, beef, raisins and peas as well as other vegetables. Tasty.\u00a0 Thanks to Mrs. __\u2019s handy work in the kitchen, I had another local treat, my first taste of beans today since I have been here.\u00a0 However, let\u2019s put this in perspective and take to heart where the best food comes from, the Word of God.\u00a0 \u201c<\/span>Man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.\u201d (Deut.8:3)<\/span><\/i><\/p>
